[NATIVE AMERICANS]. DE GROFF, Edward, photographer. Boudoir card featuring a Haida shaman and witch. Sitka, AK: [ca 1890].
Approx. 4 1/4 x 7 5/8 in. albumen photograph on cardstock mount (heavy spotting, and toning throughout, small bit of paper loss to upper edge of image, with wear to edges and corners of image and mount). Captioned on mount recto, "518. Witchcraft. Shaman and Witch." De Groff's imprint on verso. The shaman appears to be tying up the witch, whose face is turned away from the camera.
