[WASHINGTON, George (1732-1799)]. The Columbian Centinel. Vol. XXXIII, No. 11. Boston, MA: Benjamin Russell, 9 April 1800.


4pp., folio, 12 x 19 1/4 in. Disbound (partial separation at centerfold, scattered spotting throughout, toning to margins, some chipping to edges). Provenance: Library of Stephen Foreman (blindstamp on newspaper, p.3, lower right and ink stamp on p.4, lower right). Period inked inscription on p.4, bottom margin, which reads, in part, "Return of votes for Govt. ____ April 9 1800." 

The issue contains the following headline on p.2, “Gen. Washington,” with a full column, detailed obituary on the death of George Washington.
