Lot Description

COTTON, Charles (1630-1687). The Planters Manual: Being Instructions for the Raising, Planting, and Cultivating all sorts of Fruit-Trees, whether Stone-fruits or Pepin-fruits, with their Natures and Seasons. Very useful for such as are Curious in Planting and Grafting. London: Henry Brome, 1675.

 
8vo (157 x 90 mm). Engraved title-page "The planters manuell” on A1v (imprint cropped with old repair), publisher’s advertisements on final 2 leaves, several woodcut initials and head-pieces. (Some soiling and minor chipping.) Modern calf gilt, black morocco lettering-piece gilt.
