Lithograph with hand-coloring, 502 x 548 mm visible area, matted and framed (unexamined out of frame). Some overall browning, some surface staining, a few mostly marginal tears or losses occasionally crossing image.
RARE BIRD'S-EYE VIEW OF SAN FRANCISCO by noted California engraver Edward Bosqui, showing the early layout of streets, naming Clay, Kearney [sic], Washington and Montgomery Streets. A key in the lower margin identifies ships and early buildings, and two arrows mark the trails to the Presidio and Mission Dolores. Reps 343 (state II with the date).
