Second edition of Ryff's Deutsche Apoteck (1573), edited by Strassburg physician Niklaus Ager and published posthumously, with the text divided into three parts: the medicinal and gastronomic use of plants; the application of individual parts of a plant including information about exotic plants recently discovered; and details on the composition of pills, lozenges and ointments.  Includes a treatise on the plague.
