Lot Description
An October 15, 1972 World Series Game 2 Ticket Stub (Jackie Robinson's Final Public Appearance)
The legendary Robinson was honored before the game at Riverfront Stadium to commemorate the 25th anniversary of him breaking baseball's color barrier. Robinson stated "I’d like to live to see a black manager, I’d like to live to see the day when there’s a black man coaching at third base." Tragically, Robinson would die of a heart attack nine days later in his Stamford, Connecticut home.
