From Ralph Rucci’s Fall 2013 collection, this cashmere and leather jacket shows the intricate craftsmanship for which Rucci is known. Rucci employs his “Cracked Porcelain Embroidery” technique which is meant to emulate the appearance of cracked Chinese porcelain. This is a variation upon Rucci’s suspension technique, in which pieces of fabric appear to be floating or suspended on the garment by means of hand stitching.
