Born and raised in Mumbai, Naeem Khan immigrated to the United States as a teenager and soon began an apprenticeship with Halston. His designs are a combination of the silhouettes and drape he learned from Halston and the intricacies and detail-oriented embellishment of his father and grandfather, both of whom designed for Indian royalty.
