MACARTHUR, Douglas (1880-1964). A group of 5, including 3 signed items, comprising:
Portrait of MacArthur. Amsterdam, Netherlands, n.d. Real photo postcard. SIGNED by MacArthur across the front. -- Unsigned cover with MacArthur cache, Iwo Jima 3-cent stamp. Postmarked Scranton, PA, 2 September 1945, the day the surrender was signed on the USS Missouri.
[With:] Second FDC, with “Occupied Nations (Asiatic Series) / Philippines” cache. Corregidor 3 cent stamp signed by Douglas MacArthur. Postmarked Washington, DC, 27 September 1944.
[With:] Hawaiian dollar ($1 silver certificate, brown seal) signed across the back above the printed “HAWAII” by Douglas MacArthur (bill in excellent condition).
[With:] MacArthur signing the surrender papers on board the Missouri. [Tokyo], 2 September 1945. 8 x 10 in. photograph. Wainwright and Percival stand behind him. None of the Japanese representatives are in view.
