Lot Description

[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY] -- [CRONAU, Rudolf]. HAYNES, F.J., photographer. A group of 15 stereoviews of the American West collected by artist Rudolf Cronau. Fargo, D.T.: F. J. Haynes, n.p.


Thirteen 7 x 4 in. stereoviews on yellow cardstock mounts (most with toning, soiling, and wear to mount edges and corners) and two 7 x 3 1/2 in. stereoviews on buff cardstock mounts (toning, small abrasions, soiling, and wear to mount edges and corners). Each with caption on image and series name and publisher's imprint on recto. Most with series and publisher information imprinted on verso. 

Views include "Pilot's Peak," "Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone," multiple angles of the "Great Falls," "Valley of the Little Missouri," "Turk's Head / Satan's Wall," "Hot Spring Terrace - Liberty Cap," "Eagle Butte Summit," and others.
