Lot Description
[NATIVE AMERICANS]. CDV of large group of Native Americans posed with soldiers and a civilian. N.p.: n.p., [ca 1860s].
3 7/8 x 2 1/4 in. CDV on cardstock mount (heavy toning and some soiling throughout, with minor loss to image corners and wear to edges and corners of mount).
The image features a large group of Native American subjects seated and standing together with white soldiers and civilians on the side of a building. The white subject near center is identified in ink on image as "Paul." One of the seated Native American subjects is wrapped in a blanket and holds a bow, and one elderly bearded white subject sits in a wicker chair in the center of the group.
