What at first glance appears to be a juvenile book is indeed advertising for “Force” with examples of conditions treated by this patent medicine. “Jim Dumps had tried some time in vain, / To ease an after dinner pain /Which gnawed at him his belt below, / And filled his world with indigo. Dyspesia now can’t bother him / For FORCE” has made him Sunny Jim.”
