Lot Description
[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY - RECORDING & LISTENING DEVICES]. A collection of 100+ photographs and advertisements mostly featuring subjects with Edison phonographs and other listening and recording devices, including:
Postcards with ads for: Mason & Hamlin Organ & Piano Co. (3 different); Columbia Records; Emerson Piano Co.; Decker Bros.; O.A. Hoit Piano Tuner; and a description of a Violano Virtuoso – Automatic Piano & Violin, made in 1912.

Much more. Many of these are photos of early radio stations or ham operators sitting at their sets. There are several images of radio shops, with sections for Philco, Motorola, Zenith, etc. Names still familiar today.
