Subjects include a rotund gentleman with a white beard and walking stick, framed with a seated woman in a blue dress, red shawl, and black plaid apron; a man with a wiry beard captured at close range; a severe-looking woman in a dark dress and white bonnet, holding a small basket and with a black and white dog seated at her feet; a woman in a dark dress and bonnet with a white lace collar, an elderly couple including a man wearing a polka-dotted bow tie, and 4 others.

[With:] A hand-colored paper portrait of a couple, 5 1/2 x 7 3/8 in. (sight), matted and framed to 12 1/8 x 14 in. (Light soiling and spotting, unexamined out of the frame). Both subjects wear severe facial expressions.
