bearing chalk inscriptions to the back boards of the upper section: 1820 / Presented to … / by his Grand mama Lydia Melon (OR ALDEN?), the upper right drawer inscribed in chalk on the back board Lydia Melon 1820 Aged 87 years old, the underside of the top case is inscribed C.B. Swift AD 1733.
