A Federal Red Grain-Painted Case Clock
Works by Luman Watson, Cincinnati, Ohio, the case likely Tennessee
Height 91 1/4 x width 18 x depth 10 1/4 inches.
Note:
Watson was known to have used numerous casemakers to house his works. Several of these unusually shaped, grain painted cases are known to have survived. The late Tom Spittler of Dayton, Ohio speculated that these red and black cases were made by a Tennessee contractor.
