of wide form, lacquered with scholars at various tasks alongside a river stream, all set on a mura-nashiji ground, the interior of nashiji, signed Taigyo saku with red pot seal sai to the underside; with a silver inlaid hardwood netsuke decorated two incised shishi lions.
