Lot Description
A 1948 Joe Louis vs. Jersey Joe Walcott Return Match Heavyweight Boxing Championship Fight Large Theater Banner,
Despite dropping the champion twice in their first bout on December 5, 1947, Walcott lost a highly disputed split decision to Louis. Six months later, the two would meet again in a historic event in broadcast history as it was the first closed circuit telecast distributed via theater television. This banner was used to promote the bout's theater presentation and features blue Louis vs. Walcott Return Match Fight Pictures with boxing glove graphics. Louis would win the bout by 11th round knockout.
