4to. 58 Wood-engraved illustrations by John Buckland-Wright. Original quarter vellum over brown cloth, figure of Cynthia in gilt on upper cover, spine lettered in gilt, top edge gilt, others uncut, stamp-signed by Sangorski & Sutcliffe. Provenance: Morris J. Cohen (bookplate).
LIMITED EDITION, number 356 of 500 copies. Described by Cave and Manson in their History of the Golden Cockerel Press 1920-1960 as “the most important Cockerel of its time, and Buckland-Wright’s greatest book.”
