A Chinese Red Ground Embroidered Silk Ladies' Jacket
EARLY 20TH CENTURY
the jacket worked with polychrome and metallic threads to depict dragon, phoenixes and blossoming flowers against a vermillion satin ground and bordered in blue to the collar, cuffs, hem and side closure, fully lined in turquoise silk.
Length from back of collar to hem 24 x width across chest 18 in., 61 x 46 cm.
