the flattened circular body painted with scenes from the Chinese classic Liaozhai zhiyi (Strange Tales Recorded by the Studio of Idle Talk), signed Ye Zhongsan, followed by an artist's seal, dated yichou year (corresponding to year 1889), with a jadeite stopper.
