LATE QING DYNASTY
清晚期 紅緞地繡八團花卉孔雀紋女袍
the red ground of satin weave worked with eight central medallions of alit birds encircled by flowering branches and floating butterflies, all above a wide lishui border of purple, red. blue, and green, the horseshoe cuffs bordered in black ground embroidery and gold brocade.
Length from back of collar to hem 51 1/4 in., 130 cm.
