Two Silk Bustle Dresses, 1890s
This lot includes two dresses, one is incomplete.
THE FIRST
Brown and green iridescent silk taffeta and pink silk chiffon and satin trimmed with black lace, rolled collar with white lace ruffle in front, jet bead applique on back waist, and center front hook and eye closures; paired with matching brown silk taffeta bustled skirt. The skirt is missing the overskirt/overdress layer as the gathering on the back of the underskirt is exposed.
