Collection of Thirteen Fans & Three Handkerchiefs, 1850-1930


This lot includes thirteen hand fans and three handkerchiefs. Viewed from left to right, top to bottom starting in first image. 

THE FIRST
Brown die cut unfinished wood fan with white satin ribbon connector.

THE FIFTH
Gold and black lacquered fan with floral and leaf pattern, "CBM" stamped in center, and the leaves are attached using a black satin ribbon. Comes with a padded red paper box.

*The fan is not stamped with Tiffany and was only found in a box marked Tiffany. There are no maker marks on the fan and the provenance of the fan is unknown.

Centennial celebration two-sided paper folding fan with bald eagle, flags, shield, and laurel and holly branches reading "100 Years / 1776 1876" on one side; "International Exhibition / The Art Gallery Philadelphia / 1776 1879" with an illustration of the Art Gallery fair grounds. Comes with a white padded paper box.
Unlabeled, though one of the guards is stamped "Registered June 8th, 1875"
