Kurtz, who is credited with a number of portraits of Whitman, photographed him frequently, and also photographed a group of mourners at Whitman's tomb in 1892.  [Tipped in:] A newspaper clipping showing a portrait of Whitman captioned: "Walt Whitman in his Prime. From a crayon portrait by Kurtz, now in the possession of The Brooklyn Eagle." A FINE ASSOCIATION.
