Lot Description
Four Famille Rose Porcelain Bowls
19TH CENTURY
each with sloping sides rising from a straight foot, further raised upon a fitted hardwood stand; the first painted to the exterior with a scene of cranes perched among rockery and peach trees between gilt bands at the foot and mouth rim, the interior with an incised and painted nested crane, and the underside with a six-character Guangxu mark in underglaze blue; the second decorated with four medallions of one hundred antiquities reserved on a yellow ground of floral scrolls, the underside incised with a six-character iron-red Guangxu mark; the third a shallow bowl decorated with auspicious emblems between repeating borders, the underside incised with six-character iron-red Guangxu mark; the last a shallow wide-mouthed example with flowers between decorative borders, and the underside incised with a six-character Guangxu mark in underglaze blue.
