Lot Description
CARUSO, Enrico (1873-1921). Original drawing, profile caricature of Lina Cavalieri, in ink, signed in crayon lower right ("Enrico Caruso").
327 x 215 mm, a few short tears, slight marginal chipping, some tape stains in background. Lina Cavilieri, the "world's most beautiful woman," starred opposite Enrico Caruso in Umberto Giordano's "Fedora." Their passionate kiss onstage opening night at the New York Metropolitan Opera House on 5 December 1906 caused a sensation.
