Balenciaga Evening Dress, 2000-10s
Sleeveless dress of dark purple ribbed silk with a squared neckline and plunging center back neckline. Attached to the bodice at a high waistline is a full skirt cut from one piece of fabric with a single seam down the center back. The bodice is lined with self-fabric and the skirt is lined with a light silk. On the back of the dress is a vertical self-fabric bow, which attaches to the dress with a series of snaps and hooks and eyes. Although the bow is removable, once removed, the snaps and hooks are visible on the back of the dress.
