Two Geoffrey Beene Dresses, Spring 1968
A duplicate of the white dress was donated to the Metropolitan Museum of Art by Geoffrey Beene in 2001: accession number 2001.393.2.
Geoffrey Beene archive notes state the design of the white dress was 'designed for the Supremes in 1968'.
The First: Multi-colored sequin striped mini cocktail dress with wide scoop neck, white ostrich feathered skirt, and center back zipper closure.
