4to (187 x 136 mm). π2-4, a1-3, L2-4 and map provided in facsimile from the John Carter Brown Library copy with their stamps. (Lacking first blank, a4, and R4, C1 disbound, some soiling as usual.) Modern half calf (some wear).
FIRST ENGLISH EDITION of the most thorough account of the King Philip's War, first printed in Boston in the same year. The large woodcut map (produced here in facsimile) is a copy of the map in the Boston edition, considered to be the first map of America printed in this country.
