8vo. Engraved title-page, 35 engraved plates. (Some spotting or staining.) Late 19th-century cloth (spine perished, some wear). Provenance: John S. Conway (signature dated 1891).
Later edition of Vignola's work, first published in 1562, and frequently reissued throughout the 19th century. From 1564, Vignola carried on Michelangelo's work at St. Peter's Basilica.
