4to. 2 maps, halftone illustrations throughout. (Some minor offsetting, a few tiny stains to a few leaves.) Original vellum-backed blue boards (spotting to vellum, some minor soiling, endpapers darkened from adhesive, as usual). Provenance: W. C. Vail (small stamp); William S. Stone (signature, 1970).
FIRST EDITION, "a quite scarce book [detailing] the author's safari into Kenya accompanied by Philip Percival" (Czech p.38).
