4to (340 x 255 mm). Engraved dedication leaf, 14 engraved initials depicting buildings in Oxford, 13 engraved tail-pieces. (Washed, some light marginal staining or thumbsoiling.) Modern sheep-backed marbled boards (some light rubbing to joints).
FIRST EDITION, including Blackstone's introduction describing the history of the charter, and incorporating his numbering system for the articles of the Magna Carta that is still in use today. ESTC T143723.
