The waist and hips of the bodice are underlined with a stiff material to help support the exaggerated silhouette. The black silk lining is sewn in by hand. The black tulip skirt has a scalloped hem and is closed at the side seam with a zipper and hook and eye. Black silk lining and zipper are sewn in by hand.
