A Cantonese Embroidered Silk Wall Panel
LATE QING DYNASTY

晚清  廣繡屏開富貴紅木嵌螺鈿掛屏
of rectangular form, finely embroidered to show two peacocks, a pheasant, a pair of quails, a pair of butterflies and various birds in flight amongst flowering prunus trees, peony blossoms and rockwork, mounted in a large mother-of-pearl inlaid rosewood frame decorated with bats and metal mounts. 
Visible: 21 height x 32 1/2 width in., 53.3 x 82.5 cm.
