SIGNED MA SHAOXUAN, DATED DINGYOU YEAR, CORRESPONDING TO 1897
丁酉年(1897) 馬少宣作水晶內畫二喬共讀鼻煙壺
of flattened rectangular form, finely painted on one side showing two sisters, Daqiao and Erqiao seated in a day bed, reading, the reverse decorated with painted paper fans and calligrpahy, signed Ma Shaoxuan, dated the sixth month in the summer of the dingyou year, corresponding to 1897, with one seal, Shaoxuan, coral stopper.
