Two Celadon Jade Inset Metal Articles
LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
the first a brass covered box, of rounded rectangular form, the cover inset with a reticulated jade plaque in the form of seated Guanyin, chased with butterflies and chrysanthemum blossoms, the sides with birds in flight amongst clouds; the second a silver circular paperweight, the top inset with a pierce carved jade plaque showing a double happiness character, the sides chased with eight ribbon-tied Buddhist emblems.
