Lot Description
Hermès Sac Mallette Bag, 1960s
Shiny black crocodile with goldtone hardware and top handle, opens at the top with a double slide and pushlock closure, interior compartment lined with red leather with three slip pockets. The base compartment opens with a back hinge and pinch locking closure, interior is lined with red silk and velvet with a removable red velvet pillow. Together with a clochette, two keys, and dustbag with crocodile leather trim.
Measurements: 10.25" L x 5.25" W x 10" H; handle drop: 2.5".
Bag Stamp: Hermès-Paris. 24. FG St. Honore.
Frame Stamp: Hermes-Paris. Made in Austria.
Condition:
Overall very good condition/consistent with age. Exterior of bag has lost some of its shine, hardware show tarnish and slight verdigris on interior frame, interior bag; slight wear with a small number of surface scratches. Bottom compartment: little to no wear, slight dust, velvet pillow has pin holes on both sides from use. Both locks in working order.
