Lot Description
Christian Dior Haute Couture Dress, Tie and Belt, 1975
Tan raw silk dress with vertical machine-stitched tucks that release at the hip, a gathered waistline, long sleeves gathered into a buttoned cuff and a center back zipper. Separate neck tie of self-fabric and a brown leather belt with a wooden buckle. Bodice is unlined and the skirt is lined with a thin tan silk crepe. Most of the main seams and all of the tucks are sewn by machine while most of the finishing stitching on the inside is done by hand.
