Parasol, 1900-10
Sheer off-white silk crepe parasol cover edged with a wide panel of purple sheer crepe printed with flowers and woven with gold lamé thread. The cover is lined with purples silk and the metal spines are also covered with the same purple fabric. The central spine is made of wood with a metal slide and carved tips.
No label's or maker's marks.
Measurements: 26" L; 30" Diameter open cover
Condition:
Overall good condition. Wear consistent with age. The parasol has been opened entirely and the fabric is strong and able to take the tension. This parasol can be used.
