Standard COLT D.A 45 to left barrel, and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marking below barrel. Butt marked U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917/NO/154/740. Matching numbers on frame and crane. Government markings include double stamped A to left frame, {Eaglehead/S20} forward of hammer on left frame, with H and F stamps to interior. Grips have been sanded, and lack visible cartouches. Front sight, address, and caliber roll mark are offset slightly to the left. Inspector mark is in line with ejector rod, meaning it left the factory with the barrel canted and passed inspection. {C&R}
