The left frame is likewise circle dot marked and shows a sunburst over the triggerguard. Right slide struck with a French proof mark followed by the {Crossed Cannons} marking. Walther P1 pistols intended to be used by the West Berlin Police were shipped to France for completion and proofing in order to comply with injunctions against German-supplied arms in the city.
