Lower frame struck BROWNING/TRADE MARK. The name of a former owner was engraved into the right frame, and has been obscured by refinish. First name OTTO remains legible, but the surname is not. Item features light border scroll engraving, a sunburst to hingepin, and foliate embellishments to frame flanks. Serial number and markings indicate this shotgun was made before World War II, as it falls in the serial range 1-17000 for the pre-1939 period. {C&R}
