Item features the spur hammer and rear mounting cocking serrations typical of later production Model 1902 pistols. Left slide shows patent marking reading PATENTED/APR. 20. 1897. SEPT. 9. 1902 followed by COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. Right slide is further marked AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS. Left barrel shows the Colt VP monogram proof marking, P mark below trigger, and number 7 to right frame below muzzle. Right slide is drilled and tapped below ejection port on right side. Replaced rear sight. Magazine is blued and otherwise unmarked.{C&R}
