[Militaria] Assorted hats, devices, and buttons identified to the 7th New York State Militia and National Guard.
Lot comprised of a selection of hats, devices, epaulettes, buttons, and more, most identified to the 7th New York State Militia. Highlighted items include:
New York State Militia shako having the 7th Regiment emblem, a "Ridabock & Co., New York" manufacturer's label inside hat. Ca 1890. -- Two (2) 7th New York National Guard kepis, each with 2 brass "National Guard" or "NG" buttons. The first with "7" insignia on front, unmarked. The second lacking "7" insignia, with "H. Vallien & Co., New York" manufacturer's label inside hat. Ca last quarter 19th century. -- Dress hat for the 7th New York, "7" insignia on hat, with "Ridabock & Co., New York" manufacturer's label and owner's name written on stitched label inside hat. Ca 1940s. -- Beret for the 7th New York State Regiment with "7" regimental flaming bomb insignia, unmarked. Possibly Korean War or Vietnam era. -- 4 epaulettes, three of which have a single button. -- 8 hat badges or plates, most representing the 7th New York. Most include a "7" at center, and measure approx. 7 x 7 in. or smaller. -- 30+ buttons identified to the 7th New York State Militia or 7th New York National Guard.
