Remnants of US mark on face of blade, as well as a deeply struck small "M" that is also hard to read. Flat shank face. Socket heavily damaged and cracked. Metal heavily oxidized and pitted.
3) Relic condition copy of a "Shield Shank" Brown Bess socket bayonet. 13" unfluted blade, 3.5" friction fit socket with reinforced rim, 17" in overall length. Relic condition and heavily pitted, nearly in dug condition. Blade likely an 1" or so short of full length.
