Lot Description
J. Stevens Tip-Up Model #9 Rifle with Schnabel Forend
.32 caliber (probably .32-40 but a chamber casting is recommended). 27.875" octagonal barrel. SN: 32371. Blued finish, nickel plated receiver, triggerguard and buttplate, straight grip walnut stock with Swiss buttplate, walnut Schnabel forend. Single shot tip up rifle with vernier tang sight, barrel mounted semi-buckhorn sight and folding blade and globe front sight. Standard Stevens barrel markings. Right barrel flat is marked with loading information for the cartridge that suggests the chambering is .32-40. Barrel and lower receiver tang with matching serial numbers. Rifle has been professionally restored. {ANTIQUE}
