Lot Description
Cut Down Percussion Drum Conversion of a US Model 1795 Musket with Decorative Additions
.69 caliber. 22" barrel secured by a single spring retained flat barrel band. NSN. Heavily oxidized metal, iron furniture, walnut stock. Single shot percussion altered musket cut down and decorated with tacks and a spurious "Western & Atlantic Railroad Confederate States of America" shield shaped plaque. Musket appears to have been a cone in barrel conversion at one point in time and is now fitted with a precision drum conversion bolster. Retains a single sling swivel on the triggerguard and has a reproduction tulip head ramrod in the channel. Lock with no markings other than a series of punch dots. An interesting decorative gun with spurious enhancements but an attractive appearance. {ANTIQUE}
