British Pattern 1716/56 Flintlock Sea Service Pistol
American Revolution

.58 caliber. 11.875" pinned round barrel. NSN. Heavily oxidized metal, brass furniture, walnut stock. Single shot muzzleloading smoothbore pistol, missing the belt hook, with no sights and a replacement wooden ramrod. 1756 pattern long sear spring lock is marked VERNON/1762 at the tail with an integral faceted iron pan without fence or external bridle, replaced swan neck cock of incorrect form and spear tip steel spring finial. Lock appears to be in original flint configuration with some replaced parts, in particular the cock. {ANTIQUE}
