Single shot flintlock muzzleloading pistol of traditional Scottish "Scroll Butt" form, with no sights, vent pick in butt, belt hook on reverse and functional steel ramrod. Lock appears to be marked MEYER & ?, possibly Meyer & Quiller of Edinburgh, who worked circa 1770-1800. Lock with waterproof bridled and fenced pan and roller frizzen. Metal with light scroll engraving, mostly obscured by oxidation and pitting. {ANTIQUE}
